Eversweet Queen Policy

Please read carefully! You will be required to sign this policy before purchasing queens. Signature copy can be viewed here: eversweetapiaries.com/queen_policy_signature.pdf

Eversweet Apiaries will show you the queen(s) in her cage and you can verify that she is alive, but once you accept your queen and bees, they are yours and there can be no refunds, returns, or exchanges. All queen sales are final.

Bees are livestock and are subject to various environmental stresses. The customer assumes all risks, including death of the queen and/or attendant bees, once they leave our shop.

We do not guarantee that queen(s) will be successfully introduced to or will be accepted by your hive. Many factors outside our control influence queen introduction success, particularly the specific methods and apicultural techniques you employ when introducing a queen.

You also agree that you will not hold Eversweet Apiaries responsible for queen survival in your hive, or for the condition or productivity of your hive after introduction. Queens and risk of their loss become the responsibility of the customer at the time of pick up.

THESE ARE LIVING CREATURES. THERE ARE RISKS. PLEASE CONSIDER PRIOR TO MAKING YOUR PURCHASE.

QUEEN CARE

Queens are very delicate creatures. While we provide fondant, water sponge, and some attendants to feed the queen(s) during transportation & storage until installation, without a full colony, the attendants cannot control temperatures. It is imperative that they are not exposed to hot, humid temps for ANY length of time. Queens can die quickly when exposed to hot, humid temps.

Important tips for transport of queens & keeping them safe until installation:

Until installation:
• Keep queens out of sunlight. Storing in the dark is best.
• Keep queens out of extreme temps… hot & cold. Room temperature is best (65 – 80 degrees). Humidity is a queen killer.
• Keep queens away from drafts.
• Re-wet sponge if necessary. Be careful not to lose attendants in the process. Attendants are vital to the queen’s survival until installation.
