Want to become a beekeeper or learn how you can help honeybees? Join us at our Fall 2024 Beginner Beekeeper Course! This course will be hybrid classes (in-person and through Zoom). Non-locals encouraged to attend via Zoom!

Eversweet Apiaries will be teaching a four part course on the fundamentals of beekeeping. Eversweet’s Beginner Beekeeper Course will provide you with a solid foundation to begin your beekeeping journey. Over 12 hours of instructional time! These courses are also great for beekeepers who have already taken a beginner’s course who might need refreshing on some bee education.

Different topics are covered each class so it is recommended to attend every class. We will be recording each class and sharing the recordings with registrants after each class has concluded.

Course Description & Dates:

Class 1: Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Introduction to Beekeeping and Honeybee History, Colony Organization & Bee Biology

Class 2: Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Bee Nutrition/Pollen sources, Woodenware & Equipment

Class 3: Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Hive Inspections, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) – Hive Pests, Parasites, & Diseases

Class 4: Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Package & NUC installation, Swarm Management, Review/Questions
